Oscar had a perfect start however Max did overtake Lando during turn 1. Also, George lost 2 positions to both Ferrari’s, and Toto got on the radio and told George to concentrate.

Lap 7 Albon had damage so he was told to box for a new front wing. As track temperatures were decreasing Lando was able to push, to overtake Max.

Lap 9 Ferrari told Hamilton to swap with Leclerc, as Charles had more pace. A few laps later Lando overtook Max. But after Max pitted it didn’t take him long until he climbed back up into the top 3.

Lap 21 Lando boxed and came back out behind Max in P3 and a lap later Oscar boxed, coming back out in P2 giving Max the lead. However he had older tyres. Hadjar who’s had a great start to the season, overtook Nico for P9.

Unfortunately on lap 28 Alex Albon came into the pits to retire the car after contact again with Lawson, damaging another front wing. But the stewards gave Alex a 10 sec penalty so he came into the pits, took that and retired the lap after. Lap 31 Lawson and Bearman touched when Lawson tried to overtake from far back.

Lawson and Bearman had another squabble on lap 52, which almost resulted in a crash, Liam Lawson was getting a bit too cozy with some of the drivers this race. Meanwhile, Max and Lando were trying to lap them. A few laps later Kimi Antonelli ran off into the gravel at turn 10 and a safety car was deployed. McLaren double stacked for a free pit stop, along with many other drivers. After 5 laps behind the safety car the race restarted (prepare yourself because it was chaotic!) Max had a rear snap and almost touched the gravel, Charles took this to his advantage and overtook him. They had some contact but Charles was ahead and Max bailed out to the escape route. Max was very mad about this and thought Charles should receive a penalty. Verstappen was then under pressure from Russell and Max hit George during his attempt to overtake. Lap 64 Max was told to give the position back to Russell, but Max didn’t agree. He purposely bumped into George when he went round the outside for the position back. A crazy last few laps. Max received a 10 second penalty.
